Brenneke’s Tactical Home Defense® (THD) slug was created to answer the need of law enforcement and military organizations for a projectile with maximum stopping power in close-in urban situations, while at the same time lowering the risk of injury to bystanders. The THD will penetrate doors, steel, and glass, and is devastating on soft targets. Deformation and weight loss is negligible, with virtually all of its energy—as much as four times greater than common handgun loads— immediately transferred to the target. Stopping power is instant and absolute. The THD’s high momentum factor allows penetration of both hard and soft barriers, while maintaining a higher average terminal velocity.
