Description
Polariscopes are used to check if cut or rough gemstones or minerals are singly or doubly refractive.
The light turns on and off by twisting the bottom. Place the stone on the table of the polariscope with the light on. Rotate the stone 90º at a time to view the changes in the stone. Using ample light view your rough/stone through the polariscope to gather desired information.
